Week 8 game lines is already here in College Football and it’s time to look at the early lines for the notable games this week, and what a fun week it will be.

UCLA at Oregon. Texas at Oklahoma State. Alabama with another big one against Mississippi State.

No. 9 UCLA at No. 10 Oregon (-5.5): The game of the week is on the west coast this week when UCLA visits Oregon. Expect a shootout here with both teams averaging over 40 points a game, while also averaging over 500 yards a game. The difference will be what defense can make a play first. Also, both teams have great running games, so whoever establishes the run first and is more successful on that side of the offense will have the best shot to win here. This game also might decide who wins the Pac-12.

No. 20 Texas (-3) at No. 11 Oklahoma State: Texas has looked like a different team with Quinn Ewers back at quarterback, but they have a very tough game against Oklahoma State here. This also has the look of a shootout with Texas averaging just under 40 points a game while Oklahoma State averages more than 40 points a game. The difference here will be the defenses, which is an area that Oklahoma State needs to improve on especially. Expect whoever has the ball last to win.

No. 14 Syracuse at No. 5 Clemson (-14): Clemson is the odds-on favorite to win the ACC, but Syracuse is an upstart team this year that’s been a great surprise. The difference in this game will be how Syracuse can handle the Clemson defense. Both team average in the high 30’s on offense so if Syracuse can figure out the defense, then this could turn into a shootout too. This game will also go a long way in determining the hierarchy of the ACC. Syracuse has been a great story, but will they be able to compete with Clemson?

No. 17 Kansas State at No. 7 TCU (-5): TCU has cemented itself as the Big 12 favorite and faces a Kansas State team that has surprised a bit. The key here will be the Kansas State running game and the TCU passing game on the other side. TCU has been a juggernaut offensively, but the Kansas State defense has been solid, look for that matchup to be a key difference in this game. The Big 12 pecking order will be even more clear after this game because it’s been a revolving door of teams so far.

No. 24 Mississippi State at No. 6 Alabama (-21.5): Both teams are going to be looking to rebound after losing last week. This has a feel of a potential shootout due to how good both teams are on offense. The key here will be how Alabama defends the passing game for Mississippi State. If they can rebound and do that well then Alabama has a very good chance of blowing out Mississippi State. An angry Alabama should scare everyone that plays the Crimson Tide.

Other Games to Look At:

Iowa @ No. 2 Ohio State (-29)

No. 7 Ole Miss (-1.5) at LSU

Minnesota at No. 16 Penn State (-4.5)

Boston College at No. 13 Wake Forest (-20.5)

No. 21 Cincinnati (-3) at SMU

Memphis at No. 25 Tulane (-6)
