As hard as it might be to believe, we're entering Week 12 of the college football season. So as we do every week, let's look at some of the early point spreads.
The lines are provided by the folks at Circa Sports:
No. 6 Florida (-31) at Vanderbilt
LSU at Arkansas (-2)
Ole Miss at No. 5 Texas A&M (-9)
Kentucky at No. 1 Alabama (-31)
Tennessee at No. 10 Auburn (-10)
Mississippi State at No. 13 Georgia (-24)
Missouri (-1) at South Carolina
Obviously, there are a couple of lines that are intriguing here, specifically this: How about the Arkansas Razorbacks opening as a favorite against the defending national champion LSU Tigers. Seriously, imagine if I'd told you that way back in September. What would your reaction have been? Auburn opening as a full double-digit favorite feels strange given where the program was a week or two ago, and Ole Miss - with the way they can score - getting close to double-figures feels like a lot as well. Also, South Carolina opening as a slight home underdog isn't surprising, however it's worth noting that the line came out before Will Muschamp was fired.
Now, let's take a look at the Big Ten.
Purdue at Minnesota (Pick 'Em)
No. 9 Indiana at No. 3 Ohio State (-21)
Michigan State at Maryland (-3)
Illinois at Nebraska (-14)
No. 10 Wisconsin (-8) at No. 19 Northwestern
Iowa at Penn State (Pick 'em)
Michigan (-9) at Rutgers
Again, a couple of juicy lines here, with Ohio State opening as a full three-touchdown favorite against Indiana. It feels like a lot. On the flip side, Maryland giving just three at home doesn't feel like nearly enough. Also, should Michigan be close to a double-digit favorite over anyone right now?
Finally, here are a few more of the marquee lines from the weekend:
No. 7 Cincinnati at UCF (Pick 'Em)
No. 14 Oklahoma State at Oklahoma (-10)
Remember to make sure and come back and check out the official gambling picks later this week, after a solid 4-2 campaign a week ago.
