Tuesday MACtion betting guide: Let's get weird with some MACtion plays and parlays

Credit: @MACSports

For the second straight week, I am here to give you a full MACtion preview for Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Sure things didn't go well last week, but I'm not here to talk about the past!

A reminder - these MACtion previews are not like the traditional betting previews on this website.

Ultimately, MACtion is weird, and so what we're going to do is, instead of making traditional bets, we're instead going to throw together a bunch of these games in parlays, which are listed below.

MACtion is weird and so are these bets. A reminder as always, point spreads are provided by our partners at DraftKings:

Akron at Western Michigan

Spread: Western Michigan (-24.5)

Over/Under: 61.5

Western Michigan currently sits at a 24.5-point favorite against Akron, but that number is actually *down* from where it opened at 26. Still, that isn't stopping me from riding the Broncos (wow, that sounded weird).

Western Michigan has the top offense in the MAC, the same offense that went on the road to Pitt and left with a W. Their opponent, Akron….sucks. Woof, a 24.5-point line here. Just 2 weeks ago Akron lost by 35 to Buffalo. So yeah, Western Michigan can cover.

The Pick: Western Michigan (-24.5)

Buffalo at Miami (OH)

Spread: Miami (-7.5)

Over/Under: 57

Miami OH is a 7.5-point favorite against Buffalo. There’s no way that the Miami OH Redhawks (what the hell is a redhawk?) can drop back to back clunkers, right? I still believe in this Miami OH team - having played Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Army: I still believe they’re a contender in the MAC - and they cover here.

The Pick: Miami (-7.5)

Ohio at Eastern Michigan

Spread: Eastern Michigan (-5.5)

Over/Under: 61.5

Ohio was 1-7 going into last Tuesday’s game with Miami OH, pulled off the upset and are building some momentum here in the MAC! But Eastern Michigan dropped 52-points on Toledo last week, and 34 the week before. Eastern Michigan’s offense is pumping right now, and Ohio struggles defensively. Eastern Michigan covers, but the real winner will be bettors on the over...

The Pick: Eastern Michigan (-5.5) + Over 61.5

Now, let's get to what you came here for, the parlays.

Like last week, I give you three different parlay options, depending on what your appetite for risk (I prefer to call it "MACtion adventure") is.

Mild spicy: You ain’t getting rich here, but parlay the moneyline of Western Michigan, Miami OH, and Eastern Michigan for -108 odds. Maybe use this parlay to hedge something spicier…

Medium spicy: Parlay this: Akron to cover +24.5, Miami OH moneyline, and the Over in the Ohio vs Eastern Michigan game. Parlay odds at +360

Hot spicy: Here’s your parlay: Western Michigan covers -24.5, Miami OH covers -7.5, and take the Over in the Ohio vs EM game. Parlay odds at +569 - get paid!
