It isn't an exaggeration to say that Bucs-Patriots Sunday isn't just one of the most anticipated games of the NFL season, but in recent NFL history.
That's right, Tom Brady and his new team, going back to the stadium he won multiple Super Bowl's with, to face a coach that believed he was washed up.
Unfortunately though, there was a bit of bad news in the lead-up to this game, as it's worth noting that the other former Patriot who was set to join him - Rob Gronkowski, will not be making the trip to New England.
Per Adam Schefter, a rib injury will keep Gronk out of Sunday's mega-showdown game.
Schefter later took it a step further, Gronk could be out for the foreseeable future.
Ultimately while the news is disappointing, it's not all that surprising, as Gronk had been listed as doubtful all week - and also didn't practice at all either. Now we know it will be quite a while before we see him at all.
He also isn't the only player we're unsure of headed into Sunday's game, as Jason Pierre-Paul is also questionable with a shoulder injury.
The good news of course, is that at least on offense, Tom Brady still has plenty of weapons. The defense of course needs some work, after giving up 400+ yards and 34 points last week to the Rams in Los Angeles.
