Monday Night Gambling Preview: Las Vegas stay undefeated vs. Justin Herbert and Co.

Don't let me get hot!!! That's two straight winners, and we're just getting started. Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys absolutely obliterated NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, by scoring 41 points on them.

Now, let's see if Derek Carr or Justin Herbert can shine tonight and sit atop the AFC West standings after 4 weeks.

Monday Night Week 4, with odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook:

Las Vegas at Los Angeles

Line: Los Angeles (-3)

O/U: 51.5

Gut Feeling: Let's just address the obvious here, this game is going to be AWESOME. LA is coming off its biggest win in quite some time, with a victory over Kansas City last Sunday, and Las Vegas kept their momentum going with an overtime win hosting Miami. Justin Herbert and his arsenal of weapons (Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler) look to keep their offense churning against an improved Vegas defense led by star edge rusher Maxx Crosby who has already registered 25 pressures entering this game. Having said this, the Los Angeles and Las Vegas offenses have both been red hot as they're averaging 471 yards per game and 394.7 yards per game, respectively.

Now I know what you are thinking, why is the over only 51.5 points? For starters, new LA head coach and defensive mastermind Coach Staley has gotten the most out of this defense. They are able to apply heavy pressure on the quarterback while still keeping two safeties deep. This makes their defense vulnerable against the run which is actually okay for two reasons: 1) Josh Jacobs has been hurt and is listed as questionable and 2) Las Vegas averages only roughly 379 yards per game.

Theoretically, the over here is a trap bet because everybody will hear who is playing and immediately think of their two electric offenses, but given the defensive styles of both teams they are going to sit back in coverage and dare the offenses to throw it. I would recommend betting the under (LA unders are 3-0 this year), but I am going to stay away from the team total and bet the spread. I can see this game very much coming down to who has the ball last, and it could go either way, however I think Los Angeles is only going to build more confidence as this season goes on. Jon Gruden's club is also known for peaking very early and then slowly falling off.

I like Coach Staley, Herbert, and Bosa.

Official pick: Chargers -3
