Monday Night Betting Preview: Will Lamar and Baltimore roll against a banged up Indy squad?

HERE. WE. GO.

Three. That's right, three straight Monday Night Football picks have delivered. And the best news is, I feel GREAT about tonight's pick. There is just something about watching Lamar Jackson making superhuman plays that make my Monday better just thinking about it. Now, let's make some money and go for four straight winners.

Week 5 Monday Night Football, with odds provided by our partners at DraftKings Sportsbook:

Indianapolis at Baltimore

Line: Baltimore (-7)

O/U: 46.5

Gut Feeling: I'll be honest, I love Baltimore in this game. The only thing I don't like is the number (-7). John Harbaugh's club has shown fight in every game, and despite being injury-ridden, they continue to be in every game they play. The Ravens defense thrives on a great pass rush, and luckily for them, the Colts offensive line has been horrible so far this season. Colts star left guard Quenton Nelson is on the IR, their left tackle retired last year, and the rest of their line has been... uhhhh.... below average to put it nicely. Calais Campbell, Justin Houston and co. should have no problem getting to Carson Wentz.

By the Numbers:

--> Lamar Jackson led teams are 25-7-1 (78%) against the 1st half spread in his career as favorites

--> Likewise, Coach John Harbaugh as 1st half home favorites are 57-29-5 ATS.

--> In their last 19 games, Indy is 10-7-2 ATS on the road

Just because I hate the -7, does not mean I hate Baltimore in this game. I think their first half spread (-4.5) is very very enticing. It's no secret that the Ravens are a team that is extremely dangerous playing with a lead, and a team would want to face if they are trailing. Their run attack is lethal and I think it naturally slows the game down. Regardless, I'm not going to be touching the point total in this game. However, I do think Lamar Jackson and Co. able to score early in this game and gain control. This means as the game progresses, Indy will be forced to throw the ball and take more shots in the second half. I feel more comfortable with the number in the 1st half (-4.5) rather than the game total (-7). Baltimore will be loud, aggressive, and assertive.

Official pick: Baltimore 1H -4.5
