MNF Gambling Preview: Can Seattle snap their losing streak vs a tough Washington Football Team

I. AM. PUMPED.

What an awesome week of football this has been! First off, Michigan and Jim Harbaugh finally beat Ohio State, then the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn turned into another instant classic with a 4-overtime win, Coach O had an emotional last win for LSU, and let's not forget Lincoln Riley SHOCKING THE WORLD and accepting USC's coaching job after telling the country he will not be leaving Oklahoma for LSU. And then we had a full slate of pro games that included a playoff-intensity level game between the Indianapolis vs. Tampa.

The best thing about all of this? You still have Monday Night Football to look forward to, and boy do I have a bet that I love!

Week 12 Monday Night Football, with odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook:

Seattle at Washington

Line: Seattle (-1)

O/U: 46.5

Seattle's Cold Streak: This is very much a doomsday scenario for Seattle and it dates back to the offseason when Russell Wilson's agent released a list of four teams he would want to play for IF he wanted out of Seattle. That is not what you want to hear out of your franchise quarterback. Obviously, all of Seattle's problems don't stem from the offseason and it is largely due to Wilson missing a chunk of games in the middle of the year because of finger surgery, but they were still underperforming when everyone's healthy. Their main issue has been their inability to convert on third downs, and luckily for them, the Washington Football Team's defense is dead last in getting off the field on 3rd down.

Coming off two tough losses, I expect Seattle offensively to be ready to attack an undermanned Washington defense. On the other side of the ball, Seattle has been formidable against the run but have greatly underperformed against the pass.

What to make of Washington: When you are in the NFC East (arguably the worst division in the NFL), and you are fighting to not be in dead last, it's safe to say your season is not going as planned. Their best player and former No. 2 overall pick Chase Young is now sidelined for the rest of the year. That is a gut punch to any locker room. Ron Rivera will be able to scheme his defense up to help minimize the loss, but it will still leave a big hole in their defense. This team has still shown some great, late season fight and that is something to applaud. They have one of the best young wide receivers in the league in Terry McLaurin and are going to need him to shine. Seattle has a poor secondary, and if they want to win, the Heincke/McLaurin connection will have to be as good as ever.

By the Numbers:

--> Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson coming off a loss are 27-15-4 ATS in their next game

--> Pete Carroll is 16-2-1 ATS coming off a multi-game losing streak

--> Russell Wilson is 20-11-2 as a road underdog in his career

--> Washington is 3-7 ATS this year

Final Thoughts: This is a very even matchup with both teams having obvious holes in their roster. Both of their head coaches are veterans, and are going to have their teams well prepared, but it's going to come down to their players to execute. And if I have to choose between Taylor Heincke or Russell Wilson in a near pick 'em, I'm going to side with Russell Wilson. The Washington Football Team has won two straight games, and Seattle has lost two straight. This seems like a perfect trap game for Washington and a spot for Seattle to try and go on a mini-mid season run. Without Chase Young, Washington's defense goes from average to vulnerable. I expect Wilson and Pete Carroll to control the game and pick up a hard fought road game.

Official pick: Seattle (-1)
